ThIS letter IS a confirmatIon that the bUlldmg detaIl and archItectural treatments utIhzed on all
bUlldmgs wlthm the Quantum Park & Village North Master SIte Plan and subsequent Techmcal
SIte Plans, mc1udmg the Pubhx Super Market, were reqUlred dunng the adoptIon of the Master
SIte Plan m 2002. The structures approved under that Master SIte Plan mcorporated covered
walkways/arcades, bUlldmg face modulatIon, tower features, decoratIve columns, balcomes and
rallmgs, decoratIve cornIces and medalhons, barrel tile roofs, courtyards and fountams, and a
landscaped pedestnan pathway connectmg all of the bUlldmgs together
When the plans were modIfied to mc1ude the Pubhx Super Market, these same type of
archItectural enhancements were mcorporated mto the new desIgn. The combmatIon ofthe loss
of storefronts that encourage pedestnan movements along the axIS of the development, the loss
of the landscaped pedestnan pathway and assocIated courtyards, and the mtroductlon of a bIg box
store, wIth blank walls facmg both the street to the south and the reSIdentIal component to the
north, reqUlred staff and the archItect to mcorporate the same desIgn themes mentIOned above
mto the new bUlldmg. As a result, the Pubhx bUlldmg looks like an mtegral part of the overall
center, wIth pedestnan scale desIgn features that provIde mterest and compensate for the loss of
storefronts facmg the nght-of-way, wlnle respectmg the reSIdentIal component to the north.
Staffbeheves the desIgn of the Pubhx to be m keepmg wIth the ongmal approval, well
coordmated WIth the other bUlldmgs on the SIte, and an appropnate compromIse for the elements
lost WIth the mcorporatIOn of the large smgle-tenant structure mto the approved plan.

We are in receipt of your request for an Administrative Waiver to City Standard Drawing K-5, Parking
Area - Terminal Islands, dated July 13, 2005 We have reviewed your request and the site plans to
make a determination regarding the impact of waiving the backup requirement. While we agree with
your assessment for three of the four locations in question, we still have concerns regarding safety for
the parking stall adjacent to the dumpster location Our research also indicates that the site has two
"extra" parking stalls beyond that required by Code
Accordingly your request is hereby granted for the northerly parking stalls, but is not granted for the
parking stall adjacent to the dumpster enclosure The full 20-ft. backup shall be provided at this
location in accordance with City Standard K-5 This will result in the net loss of one space but will not
impact your overall compliance with the number of parking stalls required for the site

reviewed plans (redlines) dated August 2, 2004 for the above referenced project. We
respectfully respond to the requests as follows.
. The Utilities Department has requested that the plans be revised into two different
sets (Le. a set of Paving & Drainage Plans, Sheets I through 9, and a set of Water
& Wastewater Plans, Sheets I through 10). Enclosed, please find two sets of the
evised Paving and Drainage Plan set (9 Sheets). We have also re-submitted the
Water & Wastewater Plans to the Utilities Department for their review and
comment.

Per our phone conversatIOn of May 1,2004, I am submlttmg to your office for
reVIew the modIficatIon to the Quantum Pubhx Development. The request for
modIficatIOn occurred due to the fact that Pubhx has mcreased theIr bUIldmg foot
pnnt by 6,638 s.f. ThIS adjustment caused a reductIOn modIficatIOn to BUIldmgs
'A' and 'B' as well.
Please refer to the attached sets of plans whIch show all adjustments clouded and
dated. Also enclosed IS a check addressed to the City of Boynton Beach m the
amount of $1 00 00
Weare completmg the constructIOn documents and hope to submIt m for a bUIldmg
permIt as soon as these matters are settled.
