Box 310 Boynton Beach, Florida 33425-0310 TEL. 561 742-6350 FAX. 561 742-6089 www.boynton-beach.org March 24, 2004 Mr Robert Feldman Clear Copy Inc. 660 West Boynton Beach Blvd Boynton Beach, FL 33426 Re. Clear CODY ZNCV 03-027 Dear Mr Feldman This letter is pursuant to your request for consideration of a design altemative that satisfies the variance condition, required by the City Commission on the above referenced case, to add two (2) additional parking spaces As various City staff have discussed with you, an acceptable alternative design solution for your site is possible This would involve the relocation of the existing handicap accessible parking space to the northeast, and recessed eastward toward the existing waste enclosure Two standard parking spaces could then be established in the former location of the accessible space The handicap accessible parking space would have to begin approximately 5 6 feet beyond the standard space, leaving at least 5 feet for the accessible route to wrap around the rear of the accessible space and north to the building. It would then have to extend westward along the building to the building entrance The handicap parking space would have to be located, identified and striped, including the accessible route, in accordance with Florida Building Code Chapter 11-4 6 3 A permit would be required for this re-striping Please contact Ms. Pat Berger of the Building Division at (561) 742-6370 if you need assistance with this process. Sincerely, Quintus Greene Development Director The following uses are an example of those requiring a parking ratio similar to or less than what the site was approved for Personal, professional and business services including testing, repairing, and servicing, which include real estate office, architecture, design, interior decorators, engineering, surveyor, and consulting firms, Animal hospitals, Arts, crafts, graphics, and photographic studios, Nursery schools, day care centers, and other pre-school facilities*, Dentallaboratories*
