TRAFFIC STATEMENT FOR THE PROPOSED MAROUF CAR WASH ON
LAS P ALMAS A VENUE, BOYNTON BEACH, FL.
The proposed car wash IS to be constructed on the 0.23 acre vacant lot llnmedlately to the
east of the eXlstmg Gateway Texaco service station at the corner of Las Palmas Ave. and
US -1
The proposed car wash Will have one tunnel and be an automatically operated system.
Car wash users Will access the facilIty from Las Palmas A venue only
The ITE Tnp Generation Manual, Land Use Code 846, for a car wash, lIsts the average
dally tnp rate per wash stall to be 108 tpd on a weekday and 132 tpd on a Saturday
Based on these generatIOn rates, thiS traffic statement need only address the directly
accessed Thoroughfare Plan road. Which m thiS case IS U S -1
As Table 1 mdlcates, U S -1 has only 15,122 AADT north of Gateway Boulevard and
19,312 AADT south of Gateway Boulevard. These counts are well wlthm the lImits for
level of service 'D' for a 4 lane divided highway, as US-lis, and therefore, the
proposed car wash may be approved as proposed With no off site Improvements.
