Request for Code Review
Dear Mike:
Pursuant to our recent discussions with Lusia Galav, we are requesting a Code Review to propose
modifications to the definition of building height found in Part III, Chapter 1, Article II and to add
language to the exemptions to the maximum building height found in Part III, Chapter 2, Section
4.F.2. The language that we are proposing is underlined on the attached.
As you know, this request specifically pertains to the expansion to be proposed for the First Baptist
Church at the northwest corner of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Seacrest Boulevard. We are
finalizing plans for a site plan application thatwould propose an expansion which primarily consists
of a 600 seat sanctuary The revisions to the code that we are requesting are needed to
accommodate the Church expansion.

BUILDING HEIGHT means the vertical distance in feet from finished Qrade to the hiQhest point of the
roof for flat roofs; to the deck line for mansard roofs; and to the averaQe heiQht between eaves
and the ridQe for Qable, hip and Qambrel roofs, measured from the Qrade.
CHAPTER 2 SECTION 4. F.2.
Water, cooling and fire towers, radio and television towers of commercial nature, church spires
and church heiQhf, domes, cupolas, flagpoles, electrical and mechanical support systems, and
similar structures, and their necessary mechanical appurtenances may be erected within a
structure or on top of a structure, above the district height limitations provided herein, after
obtaining approval of the City Commission based on their consideration of the standards for
evaluating exceptions to district height regulations set forth in paragraph 3 below,

RIDER TO SITE PLAN APPLICATION
The undersigned as applicant for Final Site Plan Approval does hereby acknowledge, represent and agree that
all plans, specifications. drawings, engineering, and other data submitted with this application for review by the
City of Boynton Beach shall be reviewed by the various boards, commissions, staff personnel and other parties
