the above-referenced, approved site plan, please be informed that the changes as shown on the revised
plans date stamped 06/27/02 are "minor", as defined within the Land Development Regulations,
Chapter 4- Site Plan Review.
This project may continue to be processed by the Building Division as a permit application subject to
the following conditions (see attached). Be advised that the proposed changes may require a

18 feet. Please revise the detail drawing.
2. The dumpster plan correctly states that the dumpster enclosure is to be
placed in accordance with City Standard Drawing B-99007. The detail
shows exterior dimensions for the enclosure of 10 feet by 16 feet. The
minimum interior dimensions shall be 10 feet by 10 feet. The plan detail
should also include a note that "the required gates for the dumpster shall
contain long steel rods to drop into the pavement in order to secure the
gates in the open and closed positions. Drilled holes (for concrete) or
metal sleeves (for asohalt) shall be provided for the locking rods.

the path of travel for the accessible route that is required between the
accessible parking spaces and the accessible entrance doors to the building.
The symbol, required to be installed along the path, shall start at the
accessible parking spaces and terminate at the accessible entrance doors to the
building. The symbol shall represent the location of the path of travel, not the
location of the detectable warning or other pavement markings. The location
of the accessible path shall not compel the user to travel in a drivellane area
that is located behind parked vehicles. Identify on the plan the width of the
accessible route. (Note: The minimum width required by the code is forty-
four (44) inches). Add text to the drawing that would indicate that the symbol
represents the accessible route and the route is designed in compliance with

note that at time of permit review, the applicant shall provide detailed

Per the request of Sherie Coale, I made a second review of the above referenced revised minor
modification plans. It appears all items I noted during my first review have been addressed satisfactorily,
however some minor discrepancies still exist. The following items may be addressed (corrected) during
the permitting process:
o The Parking Detail correctly states that striping is to be placed in accordance with City Standard
Drawing 8-98001. The detail shows stall dimensions of 9 ft. x 19 ft. The Standard Drawing specifies 9
ft. x 18 ft.
o The dumpster plan correctly states that the dumpster enclosure is to be placed in accordance with
City Standard Drawing 8-88007. The detail shows exterior dimensions for the enclosure of 10ft. x 16

As requested, I reviewed the above referenced minor modification plan for any engineering comments.
offer the following items:
o The site plan references Sheet A-9 for parking and asphalt details. No Sheet A-9 was provided.
o The two asphalt typical sections on Sheet A-1 a indicate 1 in. and 1 Y:z in. asphalt thickness. Parking
lot minimum thickness is 1 in. Please correct discrepancy.
o The top asphalt typical section indicates a variable width and slope behind the Type "0" curb. A
maximum slope of 4:1 shall be specified.
o The Type "0" Curb Detail is improperly captioned. This typical is for the Concrete Wheel Stop.
o Provide calculations showing no net change in required stormwater discharge storage for the site.
o Indicate, by note, that striping shall be placed in accordance with City Standard Drawing 8-98001.
o Indicate, by note, that the new dumpster enclosure shall be constructed in accordance with City
Standard Drawing 8-88007.
