Re: Village Royal on the Green - Fence
MMSP 01-016
Dear Mr. Eppert:
In response to your request for administrative review and approval of the modifications proposed in
the above-referenced approved site plan, please be informed that the proposed chain link fence six
(6) feet in height as shown on the revised plans date stamped 03/12/01 is "minor", as defined within
the Land Development Regulations, Chapter 4- Site Plan Review.
This project may continue to be processed by the Building Division as a permit application subject to
the following condition:
1. If the erection of the fence causes temporary removal of the existing ficus hedge, only that same
hedge is permitted in the readjusted location. If the scope of the project demands planting a new
hedge, the replacement hedge must be composed of a plant species allowed under the current
Land Development Regulations (Chapter 7.5, Article II, Section 9B.). A new ficus hedge is not
permitted.
Be advised that the proposed change may require a modification to the building permit. Please
contact me at (561) 742-6260 if you have additional questions.
Sincere ,

RE: Minor Site Plan Modification
D r. Rumpf,
n The Green is requesting a minor site plan modification to extend a previously
ink fence to enclose our perimeter.
installing the fence, we would like to close three middle entrance/exit ways
ings 3, 4 and 10,11. These entrance/exit ways are the area shown on the attached
w. Our existing fence (shown in green on the plan) runs from Gateway and 1 st Court
then north on 1 st Lane ending 210 feet short on the intersection of 26th A venue
The proposed new fence (shown in red on plan) would start where the existing fence ends and
extends along the property line to 26th Avenue. It would then turn east along 26th Avenue ending
at 1 st Court. The fence would begin again across 1 st Court, run along the property line, and tie
into an existing fence at our Building 11.
The fence would start again in front of our Building 12 on 3 rd Court and run south to Building 13
turning west at the intersection of 3rd Court and 2nd Court. It would then tie into an existing
fencing at our Clubhouse at 2505 NE 2nd Court.
The fence project is being funded by a grant from the City of Boynton Beach. We applied for
these funds through Mr. Dan DeCarlo's office. Our employees and residents will install the fence
thereby contributing the "Sweat Equity" component of the grant process.
The reason for the new fencing is two-fold. First and foremost, it will afford our residents much
needed additional securit . As I am sure, you are aware V.R.G. is located in a high crime area of
sidents is 76 years. These aged residents need the

additional security the fencing will provide. The closing ofthree entrance/exit ways will further
restrict access to our community. Our second reason for the new fencing is that it will define our
perimeter by enclosing us and giving V.R.G. a greater sense of continuity.
I have enclosed four copies of the site plan and a check for $100.00 for the minor site plan
modification. V.R.G. looks forward to this project and I will be more than happy to assist you in
the approval process.
Very truly yours,
K~~~
