RE: Permit Application Number: 99-2647
Project: P.G.D. Inc.
Mr. Rumpf,
The purpose of this letter is to request your continued review of minor
modifications and changes to the previously approved landscape plan for P.G.D. Inc.'s
new facility at 151 Commerce Road.
Page three of this letter details the proposed modifications.
The reasons for the changes are twofold.
First, the Commerce Road side has been modified to better show off the south
elevation of the building. The previous plan called for a haphazard layout of Sabal
palmetto that blocked the building. The proposed planting plan will frame the south
elevation with symmetrical foundation plantings, indigenous boulders and matching
Poinciana trees. These changes are consistent with the existing landscape improvements
on the Commerce Road side of the adjacent properties.
Second, some of the plant types have been changed from the original
specifications to use varieties with greater leaf density and more durability. For example
cocoplum replaces the myrica hedge and live oaks replace buttonwood trees. These
changes still exceed the 50% native requirement.
No changes are proposed to the 40' landscape buffer on the north side.

Dear Mr. O'Hare
Re: P.G.D. Inc. - Landscape
MMSP 00-003
In respone to your request for the administrative review and approval of modifications proposed
to the above-referenced, approved site plan, please be informed that the proposed changes are
"minor", as defined within the Land Development Regulations, Chapter 4. Site Plan Review.
All building designs shall be based on the consistency of the architectural pattern, its relationship
to the site, and its unifying design elements. The proposed changes of the landscape are not
compatible with the design of the High Ridge Commerce Park. The landscaping should be
consistent with all the adjacent lots landscape, especially at building fa<yade. The 40' landscape
buffer on the north property side, hedges shall be continuous along the buffer wall.
Please either submit a version of the modified plans showing the corrections of the above
comments, or manually place corrections on the plans previously submitted for this request.
Please contact Jim Nguyen or myself at (561) 742-6260 if you have any further questions.

RE: Permit Application Number: 99-2647
Project: P.G.D. Inc.
Mr. Rumpf,
The purpose of this letter is to request your review and approval of minor
modifications and changes to the previously approved landscape plan for P.G.D. Inc.'s
new facility at 151 Commerce Road.
Page three of this letter details the proposed modifications. I briefly discussed these
changes today with your associates Lusia Galav and Jim Nguyen.
The reasons for the changes are threefold.
First, the Commerce Road side has been modified to better show off the south
elevation of the building. The previous plan called for a haphazard layout of Saba I
palmetto that blocked the building. The proposed planting plan will frame the south
elevation with symmetrical foundation plantings, indigenous boulders and matching
Poinciana trees.
Second, the 40' landscape buffer on the north property side has been enhanced to
create a more natural and <<habitat-like" environment. This new plan will also create a
much greater landscape barrier between this industrial site and the residential property to
the north. A meandering line of cocoplum and saw palmetto will replace the low hedge
originally planed for the south side of the site wall. The inspiration for this change was
the landscape buffer planted on the north side oflots 1,2 and 3 of High Ridge Commerce
Park. I would like to continue this landscape buffer treatment on lot 6 when we develop
that property next year.

Third, some of the plant types have been changed from the original specifications
to use varieties with greater leaf density and more durability. For example cocoplum
replaces the myrica hedge and live oaks replace buttonwood trees. These changes still
exceed the 50% native requirement.
I hope the information contained herein adequately answers any questions you may
