ST. MARK CATHOLIC CHURCH TOWER
TO:
FROM:
RE:
I reviewed the tower proposal as currently configured at 65 feet in height
to the top of the cross with Mike Rumpf of the City of Boynton Beach
Department of Planning & Zoning.
The following items were discussed:
1. We discussed the proposed tower is not physically connected to
the church building currently under construction.
2. The footprint of the tower was shown on our previous site plan
approval application and was included in the approval as being a
future installation.
3. The height as currently proposed is 65'-0" to the top of the cross.
This is scaled down from the 85'-0" height that was originally
contemplated at the time of the earlier site plan approval
4. The property is located on the CBD zone.
5. The maximum height permitted is 45'_0". Howevir" ~~here is
conditional use approval for which application can b'efu~de for
heights between 45'-0" and 100'_0". 100'-0" is the maximutn'hetght
permitted under any circumstances.

6. The possibility of carillon bells was discussed and there doesn't
appear to be any areas of the city code that address carillons
except for the maximum sound level of 50- 55 db at the property
line adjacent to residential properties.
7. There is a separate application form for the conditional use review
and approval process.
8. Once the design is set we should arrange for pre-application review
with city staff.
9. We will proceed with the current preliminary design process moving
toward pricing the proposed tower and after obtaining a price and
acceptance by Fr. Mark and the Diocese apply for the city
approvals.

RE: S1. Mark's Storage Building MMSP 02-059
Dear Mike,
Attached are 4 sets of revised plan for the storage building at S1.

elevations:
1. the Overhead garage door has been raised from existing grade level to
dock level approximately 2' 6" higher
2. the entry door has been relocated from the west elevation to the north
elevation and a handicap ramp has been added.
These changes must be made in order to meet the minimum floor elevation
of 7"0" as required by ordinance.
If you have any questions please call me.
