Dear Ms. Gil-Aristizabal:
In response to your request for the administrative review and approval of the modification proposed to the above-
referenced, approved site plan, please be infonned that the changes as shown on the revised plans date stamped
06/2 1/02 are "minor", as defined within the Land Development Regulations, Chapter 4- Site Plan Review. The
following changes to the plan are approved as follows:
. Change color of building to "Sunoco Gray"
. New canopy
. New signage
This project may continue to be processed by the Building Division as a permit application subject to the following
conditions:
1. The removal of plant material is subject to review and approval of the City Forester / Environmentalist;
2. The maximum allowable area for all projects signs collectively shall not exceed 75 square feet. In addition,
the sign color of the "Sunoco" lettering shall be "blue" as indicated on the elevations;
3. The color of the canopy shall be "white" as indicated on the elevations;
4. The color of the building shall be "Sunoco Gray" as indicated on the elevations.
Be advised that the proposed changes may require a modification to the building permit. Please contact me at (561)

Good afternoon. I've completed my review of the minor site plan
modification for the new canopy for the SUllaco gas station on U.S. 1 in
Boynton Beach. 11m glad that we agreed to the canopy colors. I think the
place will look much better after you're finished.
However, I have a few questions:
1. Aren't you changing the color of the main building to "Sunoco Gray"? Yes
Where is the building elevation with the color note? You will find the
building elevation on page 2 on the bottom left corner.
2. Are there any wall signs existing or proposed on the building? On the
canopy elevations, you indicate a maximum sign area (which meets code) but I
don't know if the proposed canopy signage coupled with existing wall signs
would exceed the maximum allowable signage area. Maybe tonight I'll drive
by the station and take a look.
The canopy will have a total of (2) 20 S.F. "SUNOCO" sings in blue. The
building (as you can see on elevation) will only have one sign on the front
also 20 S.F. in blue. The total (3) signs add up to 60S.F. which does not
exceed the allowed sign area.
3. Can you recall the maximum foot-candle level for the Shell gas station
on Congress and Boynton Beach Boulevard?
No I can not re-call, I whish I did. I hope that what we proposed is
acceptable. We have replaced the lights for recesed. From our photometric
study, we don't ecced 50 in the center of the canopy, I hope that is
acceptable. Please keep in mind the safety issues at night.
