I met with Mr. Alan Capino o~ the City o~ Boynton Beach Site
Development Dept. on Friday, March 8, 1991 ~or the purpose o~ a
~inal walk thru on the Landscaping at the above re~erenced site.
This ~inal inspection had been delayed as it seemed that we always
had some kind o~ construction or should I say destruction e~~ecting
our planted material.
Although Mr. Capino did approve the landscaping he did have the
~ollowing comments and or suggestions as we toured the project:

We need to supply the Site Development Department with
the resolution o~ our Lake Worth Drainage District
hearing. He has received copies o~ all the
correspondence to date but we never did get anything in
writing ~rom them a~ter the hearing. Maybe Barry
Sommer stein has access to the minutes ~rom that hearing.
As you know the weeds are very bad throughout the entire
complex, Especially along 22nd Avenue and Congress
adjacent to the Chili's construction ~ences.
Trees behind theatre wall should be maintained according
to our agreement with LWDD.
Just West o~ the Theatre entrance along Quantum Blvd.
there are hibiscus and cocoplums which are planted
parallel to each other. Tuttle's has currently trimmed
both o~ these bushes to the same height. Please note
that per the Landscaping plan these bushes should be
maintained at di~~erent heights. A copy o~ this detail

5. The support stakes on the Laurel Oaks can be removed.
Most o~ them have been pulled ~rom the ground and are
just hanging on to the trees.
6. Alan explained that it is very important not to "hat
rack" the palms as it will stunt the growth o~ these
trees and also provide irregular growth o~ these trees.
Tuttle's should only remove the ~rons which are hanging
downward and turning brown. A good example o~ this is
what Quantum Park has done to the Royal Palms in the
Quantum Boulevard median. They look terrible and the
trunk size is not very uni~orm.
7. All the Laurel Oaks within sa~e sight areas (blocking
drivers views) should be maintained so that their
branches have at least a ~ive ~oot clearance ~rom the
ground. This is consistent with Palm Beach County
ordinance # 73-1 and amendments.
8. There is a dead magnolia in the landscaping immediately
West o~ the 22nd street entrance. Larry ~rom Tuttle's
is aware o~ this and acknowledged that they need to
replace it.
9. Upon completion o~ the pylon signs we will need to
relandscape these two areas~
10. As you are aware per Gary Rito's memo we need to touch up
the sodded area behind Ale House and lower that exposed
sprinkler pipe.
11. There is a Laurel Oak covering a majority o~ the stop
sign directly to the East o~ the retail "M".

It appears the road contractors have broken our main
irrigation line at the 90 degree angle located directly
at the corner o~ 22nd and Congress Avenue. The area is
still exposed and is easy to ~ix but I don't know i~ we
can assume the County will take care o~ it.

Dear Vincent:
We have notified the Shoppes of Boynton that they must
remove all trees recently planted in our Lateral Canal No.
21 right-of-way.
The current policies of the District prohibit the
planting of trees and shrubs in any District right-of-way
unless by special permit. Such special permits are usually
combined with other activities such as totally enclosing a
canal with culvert.
We appreciate trees, lots of trees, but not within our
ri ght-of-way.
