The Community Appearance Board met on MOnday, October 15, 1990,
and took the following action:
NEW BUSINESS
1. SITE PLAN MODIFICATION APPROVAL
a. smuggler's on the Water, Inc. FKA Rumbottoms: Board
unanimously approved, (7-0) the installation of the new
exterior Etairway and the adding of the arches to the
existing entrance canopy, with the stipulation that the
landscaping to screen the stairway be changed to five,
ten to twelve foot high Tabebuia trees with an
understory of Hibiscus shrubs planted two foot on
center. All landscape changes were accepted by the
applicant.
b. The Forum Shoppes: Board unanimously recommended
approval (7-0) for the addition of 22,517 square foot
retail building, subject to staff comments with the
following stipulations:
i. The color of the three (3) existing buildings must
match the building color and awning color of the new
addition.
ii. Plant a total of four (4) Live Oak trees, two (2) in
each new interior parking area landscape island.
iii. Exchange sabal palms for Queen Palms at both
Congress Avenue entrances.
iv. Add a total of seven (7) Queen Palms, four (4) at
the south entrance and three (3) at the north
entrance.
v. Add two (2) Queen Palms to the landscape islands
directly in front of the new building (minimum
height for all Queen Palms is twenty [20] feet).
NOTE: The applicant agreed to all changes and
stipulations.

2. SIGN PROGRAM MODIFICATION APPROVAL
a. Shoppes of Eoyntoap.Board unanimously approved (7-0)
tenant logos to become part of the sign program with the
following stipulations:
i. Maximum height of an individual letter and/or logo
be thirty (30) inches.
ii. Maximum height of secondary line letters and/or
logos be fourteen (14) inches.
iii. The approved colors of burgandy and white may be
used together on a tenant sign.
Note: The applicant asked that the color yellow be omitted
from their stilimittal request and agreed to all
stipulations.
b. Sunshine Square Shopping Center: Board denied (5-2) to
allow the Blockbuster Video a blue awning with gold
lettering to be added to the building.

The Community Appearance Board met on Monday, July 16, 1990 and
took the fOllowing action:
NEW BUSINESS
1. SITE PLAN MODIFICATION APPROVAL
a. Bethesda Child Care Center: Board unanimously
recommended approval (6-0) to allow construction of a
day care center for 100 children, subject to staff
comments.
b. Target shopping Center: Board unanimously recommended
approval, (6-0) to allow the change in building
elevations, subject to staff comments.
2. SIGN APPROVAL
a. Boynton Beach Promenade: Board unanimously approved
(6-0) the sign program for the entire shopping center,
subject to staff comments and with the stipulation that
28" be the maximum height of the top level of tenant
signage.
3. PREVIOUSLY APPROVED SIGN PROGRAM
a. The Shoppes of Boynton: Board approved, (4-2) the
revised sign program sUbject to staff comments and
with the stipulation that the existing landscaping
located where the new free standing Cobb Theatre sign
is to be placed will be relocated elsewhere on the
site and that accent landscaping will be placed around
The Cobb Theatre sign.
