Davis, Sign & Site Development Inspector THRU: RE: SIGN VARIANCE - POST LANDINGS A sign variance request has been submitted by Post Landings Rental Apartments for a free-standing, temporary real estate sign to be placed upon their property and meet all the necessary setback requirements in its placement. Relief is sought from Sec. 21-14 (M)-(3) of the Sign Code which states that real estate signs may not exceed 3 square feet in area. My recommendation is to deny the variance as the sign size is 28 square feet larger than the code allows. Please find attached the original variance form, an elevation view drawing of proposed sign and a site plan showing the proposed location of the subject sign.
