RE: City of Boynton Beach Amendment #BOY-41 (LUAR 03-003)
Dear Ms. Yeskey:
Thank you for the opportunity to review the above mentioned land use
amendment. Palm Beach County intends to object to the proposed
amendment if the associated data and analysis is not received by Monday,
May 12, 2003 or if this data and analysis indicate a negative impact on the
roadway network by the year 2020,
The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners has directed
Planning staff to object to any land use amendment within the jurisdiction of
any municipality within Palm Beach County which negatively impacts any
thoroughfare facility in the long-range planning horizon (2020), Such
objections have been specifically authorized without requiring the Board of
County Commissioners' review of the item subject to the objection. Although
the data and analysis has not been provided to assess the traffic impacts of
the proposed amendment with maximum development potential, it is
anticipated that the traffic associated with the proposed land use amendment
may negatively impact the roadway by the Year 2020,
Please do not hesitate to contact Khurshid Mohyuddin at 233-5351 if you
have any further questions.
Sincerely,
LO~~

Transportation Analysis-The Arches
Nancy,
The Palm Beach County Planninq Division has informed me that the traffic impact analysis, prepared
by Kimley-Horn for the Arches, is not sufficient for their needs, although it is for Traffic Engineering.
What they have requested is:
An analysis that compares the daily trips generated by the maximum intensity development
associated with existing and proposed land use designation to determine impacts on the surrounding
roadway network. These impacts should be considered for the road network existing, existing plus 5
years, and 2020.
If Kimley-Horn has any questions, they should deal with Khurshid Mohyuddin at the Planning Division,
233-5351. I will be glad to answer any questions I can, but traffic engineering is beyond my scope.
Thanks,
Dick
