Boynton Beach Blvd. PO Box 310 Boynton Beach, FL 33425-0310 Planning and Zoning Planning and Zoning Department: I am writing to draw your attention to a buffer zone problem that concerns the quality of life in my home. There is an office building directly behind the common ground area behind my home. The location of the building is 200 Knuth Rd. Boynton Beach, FL 33436 and borders the North side of Banyan Creek. When I first purchased the home inany years ago, I recall that the office building was required to maintain a buffer zone between the common ground property and the south side of the building's property. At this time, I recall the owner had to plant four or five large trees to cover the side of the building. Over time, two or three of the trees have died and have been removed. The two remaining trees were covering a large portion of the building from our view until recently when they butchered the lower half of those two remaining trees leaving the entire building now as our view. The back of our home is where all of our windows are. I can see directly into the offices of the building including the night workers with all their lights on. The employees of the offices have a bird' s eye view of our backyard and into my living room, children's rooms, dining room and kitchen. Anyone there can see that my wife is home alone during the day and has possible knowledge of our household inventory. We have no privacy and feel like we are living in a reality television show. We would like for the owner of the property to maintain the buffer zone it was originally required to maintain for our privacy and peace of mind. This buffer zone was an imminent factor in choosing this home. Our hope is that the owner be required to replace the three removed dead trees with mature ones and instruct its landscaping crew to stop butchering the existing trees. We look forward to your response and resolution on this matter. I can be reached at 561 3749990 home number or mobile number 561 248 8318 to schedule an appointment to look at this situation. Thank you. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. Have a great day! Sincerely, Robert Wrieden '" , 1_1 , ! From: Kirk Izard, Owner 200, Knuth rd~ Boynton Beach. Re: Revised landscape plans~ To Whom It May Concern: The changes to the original plans, dated Nov. 18th are as follows; . there are no longer any philadendrum selum on the premises. . there are 31 mahogany trees instead of 29 . there is 1 mature earleas acacia on the nw corner of the property that originally called for a mahogany . there are 3 foxtail palms one of which replaced the sabal palm on the ne corner of the building . there are 11 queen palms instead of 6 . there are 29 sabal palms instead of 54 ( this number is vague, because on the original plans it called for them to be planted in clumps of 3. I do not believe sabals can be planted like that, but in any case they were planted as single trees. we know have 18 trinette arbicola, where on the original plans there were none. . we have 23 crown of thorn, where the original plans had none. I personally planted the 3 new mahogany trees that are shown on the s side of parking lot, trees 2 3 and 4 from Knuth rd~ this was to replace 1 mahogany that may have died over the years or may not have been there from the beginning. I also planted the foxtail palms to give the property some more variety. All the new trees that were planted are between 12 and 15 feet tall with a good solid growth of leaves or fronds. We have not made any major changes to the design. And a quick note; all the trees that are on the revised plan are very mature trees (with the exception of the new ones)~ I do not believe that the landscape design ever matched the original plans. Also, I would like to add that, my brother and I have only owned this property for a couple years, and have done extensive and expensive work to improve the property both on the inside and out. All of are tenants are 100% satisfied. Thank you for expediting this process, the board has only given us until the 1 ih of july to comply with this landscape issue~ i.; rK 1) ~ j; zc",J \.... -'1 , 8 2004 ceU g,ld,S 7/& "'510 --s/.;t~ 5&, 36C{-4Jc..{Q .~j --~'---'-~_"_ ..J CERTIFICATION OF COMPLETION MINOR LANDSCAPING PLAN MODIFICATION PERMIT CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT PLANNING AND ZONING DIVISION CITING OFFICER: Pe;fe~ R cn.o PROJECT NAME STREET ADDRESS ;2L{) 7(-/t.-Cz;t!j ed PROPERTY CONTROL NO.
