Dear Mr. Taylor:
In response to your request dated July 2, 2004 for the
administrative review and approval of the modifications proposed to
the above-referenced approved site plan, depicting the following:
· Addition of a decorative aluminum gate at the entry to the
development (as depicted on the attached plan) .
Please be informed that the proposed changes on the revised
date stamped 7/2/04 are nminor" as defined within the
Development Regulations, Chapter 4 Si te Plan Review.

Re: Security Gate for Via Lago
Per our discussion, the residents of Via Lago voted on October 15 2003 to install a
security gate at the entrance to the complex. There are 18 townhouse units in Via Lago
and the majority of the residents voted in favor of the installation.
The primary reason for the installation is to provide a deterrent for non-resident cars and
pedestrians coming and going throughout the course of the day. In addition, the gate
will provide enhanced value from the perspective of individuals seeking a gated
community as a place to live.
The entrance into Via Lago is at the end of a dead end street. Turning into Via Lago is
the last option before a car runs into the end of Lake Street.
New Palm Way is the last street running North/South where a car can turn before
reaching the entrance to Via Lago or running into a dead end situation. The security
gate will be approximately 75-80 feet from interfering with cars that are turning into New
Palm Way or turning from New Palm Way onto Lake Street.
Residents of Via Lago will use a remote control device to open and close the security
gate. Since there are only 18 units in Via Lago, there is no expectation that any type of
traffic congestion will be experienced at the gate site.
