Dear Mr. Mire:
In response to your request dated April 28, 2005 for the
administrative review and approval of the modifications proposed to
the above-referenced approved site plan, depicting the following:
· Addition of two (2) doors, closing in of two (2) windows,
addition of curb, bollards and handrail, and relocation of a
rain leader (as depicted on the attached plans) .
Please be informed that the proposed changes on the revised
date stamped 4/29/05 are "minor" as defined within the
Development Regulations, Chapter 4 Si te Plan Review.

Dear Mr. Rumpf,
On behalf of our client, Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, Inc., we submit this letter requesting approval of
minor fac;ade changes to accommodate the interior renovations to construct the LI.F.E. Academy within
the existing Bethesda Service Center located at 3800 S. Congress Avenue. The modifications to this
building are as follows:
Location 1 - Add door. Remove window and provide stucco and paint finishes to match existing.
Location 2 - Add door, bollards, curb, handrail, and relocate rain water leader. Remove windows
and provide stucco and paint finishes to match existing.
In support of this request we provide the following:
Partial elevations showing improvements.
Site plan showing location of improvements.
Site location map.
Photographs of building areas affected.
Letter of 1.24.05 approving use within the M-1 zoning district.
The PCN is 08-43-46-05-00-000-7010.

Please be informed that documentation o~ the abcve~referenced
academy has been reviewed, and based on several positions on the
"supported employment 2005" list, this school offers technical
and industrial-related training required as a permitted use
within the M-l zoning district. The related "positions" include
inventory clerk, material handler, tire changer, maintenance
custodial, task life operator, and general maintenance. Such
positions or compatible positions should continue to be
emphasi~ed in your programming.

benefits are not only the developmentally challenged, but the
