As property owner of The Harbors community in Boynton Beach, Florida, Centex Homes
request that an amendment be made to the plans. The amendments to be described below
are the removal of a dumpster, addition of a pool fence, changes in the entrance, and
changes in the Landscape Plan.
Dumpster Removal: The initial proposed Dumpster located on the Eastern side of the
property was removed and replaced with Landscaping near the Trellis, or entry feature to
the pool area. The eliminated dumpster was not required by local municipalities and
Centex felt the project, as well as for the adjacent property owners (single family housed
to North) to be better served with the revised substitution.
Pool Fence: The pool fence, although not shown on the landscape plans, is detailed on
the site plans as well as being requirement for safety. The additional fence shown on the
site plan revision indicates additional fence around the pool/cabana area as well as at the
Northern access to the pool. The additional fence acts as a barrier between the walkway
and the Inter Coastal Waters.
Entrance and Gates: The entrance to the Harbors also has limited changes from the
original plans. The requested change is for the Western Islands. On the original plans
the island is depicted as a continuous strip. We have changed this to two separate islands
to match to the two Easterly Islands. We have also added at the Fire Marshals request a
detailed Knox Box location.
