This letter is to request the city of Boynton Beach to allow for the modification of
Nauticia's Master Plan. This modification would allow any home on a " Z " lot that meets
the already established setback requirements be allowed to install a pool if the homeowner
chooses to do so. This letter should serve as the application to begin the modification
process.
This request was brought before Nauticia's Board by two homeowners, Mr. Troy
Cool & Mr. Robert Williams. Their request was voted on at our N.H.O.A. Board meeting
held last evening. It was approved unanimously by a 4 to 0 vote & was also well received
by the homeowners in attendance at this meeting. So if the city commission could please
vote on this request our community would really appreciate it.

As you may be aware, the master plan documents for the Nautica
community as originally filed by G.L. Homes with the City of Boynton
Beach had certain restrictions regarding the installation of pools. The
documents currently only allow homes on "Zero" lots to have pools as long
as the established setback requirements are met. Homes on "Z" lots are not
permitted to have pools regardless of the lot size.
Per our meeting with city officials on 7/14/05, we (the HOA) can apply to
have the master plan documents amended. We would like the board to
support our pursuit of this option. The process as laid out by the city would
require a simple letter from the Nautica HOA requesting the master plan be
revised to allow any home on a "Z" lot that meets the already established
setback requirements also be allowed to install a pool if the owner chooses
to do so (see sample letter). This letter would serve as the application to
begin the modification process. This letter must be submitted along with 12
copies of the master site plan and a $500 application fee. Weare prepared to
pay this fee so the HOA will occur no expenses.
Once the letter and paperwork is received it will be reviewed by a review
board and then voted upon by the city commission. In speaking with many
of our neighbors, most would consider a pool or would at least like the
option of installing a pool at some point. The installation of pools will
increase property values for those homes directly as well as indirectly for the
homes in the rest of the community. We would appreciate your support in
