In response to your request dated June 9, 2005 for the
administrative review and approval of the modifications proposed to
the above-referenced approved site plan, depicting the following:
· Replacement of wood shake roofing material with a standing seam

Please be informed that the proposed changes on the revised
date stamped 6/9/05 are "minor" as defined within the

To Whom It May Concern:
United Way of Palm Beach County, Inc. wishes to re-roof its existing building at the
above referenced address. The structure is predominantly two story with partial single
story elements. It has a gross floor area of approximately 17,000 square feet. The
existing wood shake roof is in bad repair. Its many angles and intersections have resulted
in an exterior envelope that has been difficult to seal completely.
The re-roofing material will be standing seam metal with a galvanized aluminum finish.
The metal will cover all roof, fascia, and soffit areas and will include all flashings. A "Key
West:' appearance will result. A sample of the proposed material is included with this
submittal.
The following are responses to the listing of criteria in the Minor Modification Process
Fact Sheet:
a. The modification does not affect the area of the building.
b. The number of parking spaces is not affected.
c. The development standards of the zoning district or other applicable standards
in the Land Development Regulations are not affected by the modification.
d. The modification will improve the elevations of the structure and give them a
more contemporary appearance. They will not be below the standards stated in
the community design plan.
e. The concurrency requirements of the Boynton Beach Comprehensive Plan will
not be affected by the modification.
f. The site plan is not affected by the modification.
