Wilson Project - Height Exception Request
It is our understanding that the maximum height in the City's Recreation zoning district is 45
feet, and that building height which exceeds this limit requires an exception. The new
community center that is being constructed as part of the Wilson Project will include a cupola,
This will raise the height of the building to 52 feet from the finished floor to the top of the roof
peak. It will be 48 feet from the finished floor to the truss bearing plate.
We request consideration for an exception of seven (7) feet, which is the difference between 45
feet and the highest point of the cupola.
