Please acrept OW" request for an extension oftwmtyfour months for Boynton Beach Resolution 06-097,
a Development Order for Harbor Cay Town Homes; an!POO located within a few h1mdred feet North of
Gateway Boulevard on Federal Highway going towarm the Intraooastal WateIway.
Due to the severe real estate slump and a reooverynot to be projedBd within the next 12 month it is
imposgDle for Harbor Cay to eitberobtain new construction fimmAIlg orprocure the required pre-sales
of units. It ~ unlikely that a oonstru.ction pennit mukl be secured before the Development Order expires
on May ~ of 2008. Furthennore, given the circumstances enumerated above we have lost om previous
oommitment for oonstruction financing, and have yet to finalize the future fimding.
We therefore ~ a no fee and or no aH: extension to the development order giving the sincere real
ertate depression currentlythrougbout South Florida. It is aInmy a hardship juslto maintain the
current:finRncing and not to "walk away from the project" Given the~ 1he Projectoould not afford to
pay any fees and stay "alive".
