Jason,
I apologize for the delay, but I had a number of reviews ahead of yours. It would appear as though the list of
changes noted and requested in your letter is not inclusive of all of the changes being proposed. I would suggest
the Architect conduct a thorough comparison of the approved site plan elevations and the proposed changes
being submitted, and supply an all inclusive list of changes being requested.
Additionally, we are not looking favorably at the requested change to the second story balcony to eliminate
the roof and supporting columns due to, not only the reduced aesthetic value, but the functional purpose it serves
as well.
Finally, I cannot find where any sliding glass doors were on the previously approved plans, they all appear
to be french or side swinging doors. The request to eliminate sliding glass doors and replacement with a window
requires further explanation.
Thank you for your patience and please submit the updated information for our review. Ed

Our client started the entitlermmt process prior to Hurricane Wilma and prior to
delivering similar homes in Delray Beach As you know, the construction industry is
experiencing a multitude of issues with constructability and cost en a daily basis. Our c!ient
has encountered various such issues regarding this project and that IS why we are
requesting the following changes. We discovered that some of the items we are reqUf:.)~ting
changes to became an issue due to the ~lurricane as a result of inquiries from our residents
currently living in our homes in Delray Beach. Thus, we are requesting minor modifications
to the elevations due to these concerns which will NOT affect the charactl1r i.>f thf;
development and which the City will be proud of the end result.
Enclosed please find four (4) full size revised plans indicating the following changes:
General Changes
1. Roof slope to change from 6:12 to 5:12. (availability of roof tile)
Elevation(s)
1.
2.
3.
Front door side light eliminated. (residents would prefer the privacy)
Flat roof and supportin~l columns at second floor halcony elimrnat~1d.
(constructability of the detail makes it difficult to waterproof)
Cornice at Gable End eliminated. (constructability of the detail makes it difficult
to waterproof)
Double window in second floor to become single window on r.?ar eievalion.
( consistency)

5. Sliding Glass door on rear elevation in a secondary bedroom to become a
window. (residents are concerned with safety for a small child and would prefer
a window vs. a door with a railing).
Also enclosed is a check in the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) made
payable to the City of Boynton Beach. I am confirming with you that this is a minor site plan
modification and thus can be approved administratively. If you would like to meet with us,
we will be happy to do so at your convenience.
Thank you very much for your assistance in this matter.
Very truly yours,
