Box 310 Boynton Beach, FL 33425-0310 Re: Height Exception for 2201 South Federal Highway This letter is to request a Height Exception for the proposed development of a County Inns and Suites at 2201 South Federal Highway. The project is a 4 story hotel with pt level parking, an indoor pool and 2nd floor pool deck. To help comply with the Community Redevelopment Area Guidelines for Facade Roofline Breaks as well as to improve the aesthetics of the building and specifically the view from Federal highway we feel that the addition oftwo dormers are necessary. These dormers break the roof mass and add interest to the elevation. The proposed dormers were suggested by City Staff during the pre-application meeting. The dormers are 480 sq ft each for a total of 960 sq ft this is approximately 6 percent of the building footprint. We propose that these dormers be 53'-7" to the center point of their roof (8'_ 7" above the allowable height. Thank you for considering this request.
