In response to your request for the administrative review and approval of the modifications proposed to the
above-referenced, approved site plan, please be informed that the changes shown on the revised plans date
stamped January 31, 2005 are "minor", as defined within the Land Development Regulations, Chapter 4- Site
Plan Review.
This project may continue to be processed by the Building Division as a permit application subject to the
following conditions:
1. The drawings are revised to provide a setback dimension which meets the minimum front setback for
the district of 25 feet (more is preferable);
2. Color swatches are included with the permit application that represent a color consistent with the colors
of other buildings at the East Water Treatment Facility/Campus; and
3. With the understanding that the improvement does not represent an increase in operations in terms of
staffing (to avoid analyzing parking availability).
Be advised that the proposed changes may require a modification to the building permit. Please contact me

Subject: Planning and Zoning Review of Site Modifications to City of Boynton Beach's
East Water Treatment Plant
Dear Mr. Rumpf:
On January 26, 2005, CH2M HILL submitted, on the City's behalf, an application for minor
site modifications to the East Water Treatment Plant (EWTP) site. The proposed
modifications consist of the addition of a single story concrete block structure to house
electrical and mechanical equipment associated with a new Aquifer Storage and Recovery
(ASR) well. On February 1, 2005, I had a conversation with you regarding this matter, and
you informally stated that several additional pieces of information would facilitate your
review. This letter will therefore supplement our application of January 26, 2005.
Proposed Use - The new ASR well will be incorporated into existing plant operation and
monitored and maintained by existing staff. The new well and its associated building will
not result in the addition of any new staff, traffic or parking to the EWTP site. The ASR well
will primarily be operated from the existing control facility located within existing
buildings.
Architectural Themes - The new ASR support building will be constructed using materials
and colors that match the existing EWTP administrative building. A hip roof will also be
constructed of barrel tile closely resembling the existing structures. The attached
photographs of the administrative building provide the best available reference for the
colors, roofing materials, and architectural themes.

Dear Mr. Rumpf:
The City of Boynton Beach's Utilities Department is proposing modifications to their East Water
Treatment Plant located on the south-east corner of the intersection of Seacrest Boulevard and
Woolbright Road. Site modifications will include the construction of a second Aquifer Storage and
Recover (ASR) well and a building to support its mechanical systems.
The proposed facility will be located on the south-west corner of the parcel and will be constructed
within a one story, concrete block building. The building will be constructed with a mansard style
roof to match the existing architectural features of the administrative building located at the water
treatment plant. The facility will be approximately 38 feet by 22 feet in size with a maximum roof
elevation of 16 feet. Finally the building will be located approximately 40 feet from the western
property boundary. The building will house pumps, electronic control systems, and an air
conditioning system to control the building's interior environment. The accompanying drawings
illustrate the location of the proposed ASR-2 facility, the building dimensions, and construction
materials.
We have been informed by the City's Building Department that approval for Site Modification is
required by the Planning and Zoning Department prior to submittal for a building permit. Please
consider this letter a request for Site Modification to the City's East Water Treatment Plant site for the
construction of the ASR-2 Facility. If you have any questions regarding the specifics of this project,
