We understand the sign issue and will work with the city as the other projects not to exceed the number. We are ok that are signs are the 245. Many thanks for the help and please let me know who I speak to your absence, and who thye letter is being handed to in permits. Have a great trip and we'll speak when you return. Just a couple questions/notes. 1. 1. Color codes and swatches are needed; can they be provided at this time? 2. Construction projects are allocated a total of 250 sq ft of sign area, which can be broken down and placed on the project site. The drawings show a total of 245 sq ft. This would max out the area. Unless perhaps you were thinking about a combination of sign area and mural-type graphics which we could review for exception (non-sign graphics such as what you see placed on the construction fencing of other projects). Please respond and I will continue pushing this along. The revised drawings were already received in your office, and they are so minor that it appears unnecessary to go through this step. The changes on the revised set are as follows: Canopy moved from the west to the east side of the front of the building Added small backlit signs between the pilasters on the east wall Deleted fabric canopy between pilasters on east wall Added a small soffit on the west side of the front of the building We have been trying to get this sales center open for sometime now, and (no fault of your department by any means) we are hitting a lot of large speed bumps every step of the way. This building was an existing structure, and will not be permanent. We have opened parts of Ocean Ave, and the reason for using this structure was to help beautify and occupy this critical downtown corner during the upcoming years of construction. For the above mentioned minuscule changes to be subject to comment and critic, it will only continue to delay our progress. Please let me know if you concur with this and that this step can be skipped or if this paper can be signed off on by you. Thanks again for all you help today and in the years past, and I am sorry to hear about the broken foot. Since your appoved site plan did not include the temporary sales center, this separate review is typical and necessary to review against applicable regulations. We coordinate this review with others with the intention to minimize comments and time in permit system. We only need 4 sets of drawings showing the changes (in this case it would be pages A2.02 and A3.01 rev. date- 5/9/06). A letter listing the changes to the site and facades, written out to me or Ed Breese, Principal Planner. A review fee of $100. Once received, I'll get this turned around as quickly as possible. Let me know if you have any further questions on this process. 6/9/2006 Minor modification review of ~qles center Page 1 of2 Rumpf, Michael From: Rumpf, Michael Sent: Thursday, June 08, 2006 9:49 AM To: 'Ryan Weisfisch' Subject: RE: Minor modification review of sales center Ryan, I've personally reviewed the minor mod plans to exedite things.
