Since July, 2005 when the City Commission approved the site plan, the Applicant/ Developer has undertaken the following efforts: 1) purchased the property (September, 2005) 2) relocated 21 mobile home residents, (completed in February, 2006) 3) obtained SFWMD permit 50-07266-P (issued February, 2006) 4) demolished or removed aging mobile homes 5) submitted for building permits (see attached) 6) paid utility capacity reservation fees 7) paid impact fees based on approved site plan (see attached) The permit drawings are in for second or final review and imminent issuance of building permits is expected. The Applicant/Developer has been proceeding in good faith to commence construction, and respectfully requests a six (6) month time extension. We spent the time from original approval until March completing the working drawings for the 7 buildings. We had started the design process with Colestock & Muir - a firm that specializes in Homes and Town Homes. Along the way in oW' Site Plan Approval process, the project changed to Town Homes and a 4 story Condo Building - something outside of the expertise of that firm, We retained Falkanger Architects to do the Permit Drawings for the Condo Building and retained Colestock & Muir only for the Town Homes and other site structures. This caused a delay in our Architectural work and we just completed our architectural drawings in March. We have been in the City permitting process since then.
