Thank you for providing the County advance notice and the opportunity to review
the annexations summarized below.

Gardens II Location: West side of Federal Highway, approx. 1/4 mile north of
Gulfstream Blvd
2006-08-001 First Reading: 12/6/2005 Second Reading: 1/3/2006
Parkside Acres: 4.46
Location: West side of Federal Highway, north of Gulfstream Blvd
2006-08-002 First Reading: 1/3/2006 Second Reading: 1/17/2006
Upon review of the above annexations, County staff have not identified any
inconsistencies with Chapter 171, F.S., that warrant an objection. However,
Engineering staff have advised that adequate turn around should be provided for
Miller Road as part of the site planning process for the Parkside site. Please also
be advised that the County has approved the transfer of five lights in this vicinity
along Federal Highway to the City, However, FPL has yet to confirm the
completion of this transfer.
Although the City has been making significant progress towards the elimination
of enclaves in this area, a few enclaves still remain. Please feel free to contact
Lisa Amara, Principal Planner, at (561) 233-5334, to coordinate on the
annexation of enclaves less than 10 acres by interlocal agreement, or if you have
any questions.

Vacation of a Portion of Miller Road
Dear Mr. Gershkowitz:
FPL has no objection to the above referenced abandonment as long as currently there
are no existing FPL distribution facilities within the requested area. A boundary
survey will need to be provided to FPL to determine the exact location poles.
Should FPL facilities exist in the portion of Miller Road requesting to be vacated, there
are 2 options:
1, An easement must be granted to cover the existing FPL facilities prior to the
right-of-way abandonment.
2. Or the customer pays all costs associated with the removal and/or relocation of
existing FPL facilities, It will be the customer's responsibility to provide the
necessary easement to cover any relocated facilities,
