Subject: RE: NE7th and NE 8th Ave abandonments
Sherie:
In response to your "issues", our responses are as follows:
1. In regards to the 'fee', our Director has issued an e-mail in regards to this proposed fee (as well as future
applications that the city is considering). Per the direction of Mr. Ed Breese, this will be addressed at a
later date.
2. At the bottom of our legal description, we subjected the legal to being designated as a utility easement
over the entire strip of land, whereby the each respective utility franchise would be able to access their
respective service lines Uust like they do today). As a recapitulation,
Florida Public Utilities had no objection;
Florida Power and Light Company had objection, with the conversion to a U.E.;
BellSouth had objection, but with the conversion to a U.E., no problem.
3. Comcast Cable - our May 7th letter to them superseded our March 20th letter to their predecessor,
Adelphia Cable; neither has responded back to this Division. However, their cable lines are located on all
FP&L poles within this corridor. Therefore, they will have access equally with the pole owner, FP&L. No
further communication with this franchisee is contemplated.
We respectively request that the application for this "property" abandonment proceed as set forth in our June 12th
letter to Mr. Rumpf. If you have any further concerns, please advise me directly.

Subject: NE7th and NE 8th Ave abandonments
Mr. H. David Kelley, Jr.,
I have 3 issues.
1. $750.00
2. The FPL letter states they have objections and offered no solution....are you/they doing anything about
that?
3. Comcast did not respond to your letter; this is not acceptable from any other applicant. Are you still
pursuing a response?
Please let my boss know the answers to # 2 and # 3. I can handle # 1 if Angie provides an account # from which
to transfer the funds.
