SIGN PROGRAM FOR QUAN1'U~1 'TC)WN C:ENT'ER:
Comprehensive Signage Criteria
General:
The purpose of these criteria is to create the framework for a comprehensive and
balanced tenant identity guideline for Quantum Town Center.
All signage shall be constructed in accordance with the following design criteria and shall
be subject to the written approval of the development architectural review committee.
Tenants sign contractor shall be licensed to construct and install identity displays. Tenant
shall submit a certificate of insurance, in force, from the sign contractor with Automobile
General Liability and Workman's Compensation Insurance, as type coverage and limits
as approved by the review committee in writing. Certificate of Insurance shall name the
developer and his agents insured.
No work on premises may occur without Certificate ofInsurance delivered to the
developer or their representatives.
Tenant shall submit the name of the signage supplier and/or fabricators to the Quantum
Town Center Leasing co-coordinator for Landlords approval prior to design and
fabrication of any signage.
Letter Fabrication:
The primary approved manufacturing criteria will call for individual reverse channel
lettering fabricated from welded aluminum sheets in thickness approximately 2" and shall
have a gloss enamel finish.
All sign units, additional symbols or logos shall be submitted to the Landlord for
approval prior to fabrication and installation. Two sets of prints must be submitted to the
Landlord for approval and they must contain all vital information pertaining to material,
dimensions and locations, including a photographic or drawn elevation of the building
with the proposed signage superimposed to scale.
Refer to page 3 through 9 for examples of letter style.
"1 'r' I 0
J.\Jn "
Graphic Style and Logo Use:
The approved general criteria letter style shall be "Book Antiqua Bold"
Tenants without a recognized letterllogo style shall use the approved criteria style of
"Book Antiqua Bold".
National registered tenants shall be allowed to use their approved letter style and logo
element, subject to landlord and Design Committee review approval and City of Boynton
Beach.
Logo elements NTE letter height of the sign, may not exceed 20% of the entire sign and
must be in close proximity of the sign lettering.
Refer to pages 3 through 9 of the graphics criteria for details.
Letter Ulumination:
All lettering shall be illuminated from above directional lighting.
Logo Use:
Tenants with a nationally registered trade name/style shall be permitted to utilize their
recognized trade letterllogo style for the primary identification. Logos can be utilized in
conjunction with lettering styles and should be manufactured in the same format as the
lettering.
National registered tenants shall be allowed to use their approved letter style and logo
element, subject to landlord and Design Committee review approval and City of Boynton
Beach. Logo elements NTE letter height of the sign may not exceed 20% of the entire
sign and must be in close proximity of the sign lettering. Logos can utilize their
corporate colors. Example B on page 5 depicts a national registered Franchise logo
element and national registered trademark lettering. The construction of the logo depicts
a solid reverse channel disc with all "white" areas routed from logo face and backed with
translucent white acrylic to allow for the details to illuminate during evening hours of
operation. The "black" areas on the logo face are painted, applied to solid face as detail
elements.
Graphic Size:
Tenants graphic heights shall stay within the allotted space designated. Approximately
2'6" wide and 9' long. Tenant lettering is restricted to the sign band area as indicated on
examples shown on the following elevation pages. Tenant lettering is NOT to be
condensed or altered in any way as to distort the integrity of the letter style. Heights of
lettering may additionally be restricted due to architectural elements that limit the lengths
of the sign information. Tenant signage shall not exceed 80% of the vertical height or
horizontal width of the designated signage band to ensure the signage does not crowd
architectural treatments or other features on the building.
Tenant information is restricted to the formulas as outlined by the City of Boynton Beach
sign code,
Graphic Placement:
Generally, all tenants lettering shall be installed and centered on the tenant's primary
store front sign area both vertically and horizontally. Storefront is defined as that area
above the architectural entry element, as reasonably defined by landlord.
See examples of tenant lettering placement standards on pages 5 through 9

Breese, Ed
Steve,
The following are staff comments on the Sign Program. Upon inclusion of this information in a revised submittal, we can
approve your program.
add: Individual tenant signs shall not exceed 1.5 square feet X the lineal front footage of the lease space.
add: No signage allowed on the awnings.
add: Signage will be allowed on the rear sign band for only those tenants with a rear customer access.
. List colors, up to two (2), plus black and white, that tenant signs may use. National tenant loqos will be exempt from
this color limitation. If you choose to select only one sign letter color, say black, that is okay, you just need to state that.
. On Page 1, the last sentence should be changed to read, "Refer to pages 3 through 6.............."
. On Page 2, under "Graphic Style and Logo Use", the last sentence should be changed to read, "Refer to pages 5 &
6.............."
. On Page 2, under "Letter Illumination", a second sentence should be added which reads, "The directional lighting shall
be identical as to materials, design, size, color, etc., for all tenant spaces"
. On Page 2, under "Logo Use", the last three (3) sentences should be eliminated, since they are only applicable to
internally illuminated letters, which are not being used in this project.
. On Page 2, under "Graphic Size", a final sentence should be added which reads, "Stacked copy is allowed, provided
that the copy does not look inappropriate or out of scale and character with adjacent signage"
. On Page 3, under "Graphic Placement", the last sentence should be changed to read, "See examples of tenant
lettering placement standards on pages 5 & 6"
. On Page 5, under National, letter color cannot be corporate color, only the logo itself may be corporate colors.
. On Page 5, under General, after 20", insert MAX.
. On Page 6, under National, letter color cannot be corporate color, only the logo itself may be corporate colors.
. On Page 6, under General, after 20", insert MAX.
. On Pages 5 & 6, the color of the Brewers Coffee should be changed, unless green is one of the colors that you state
will be allowed within the sign program.
