THE RULE OF THUMB IS THAT THE OUTPUT OF AN AUDIBLE NOTIFICATION APPLIANCE IS
REDUCED BY 6dB IF THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE APPLIANCE AND LISTENER IS DOUBLED.
16. MAXIMUM MOUNTING HEIGHTS FOR ALL PANELS SHALL BE 6 FT TO THE TOP OF EACH
PANEL.
SEQUENCE OF OPERATION
THE ACTUATION OF THE FIRE ALARM INITIATING DEVICE SHALL AUTOMATICALLY
INITIATE THE FUNCTION DETAILED BELOW.
A. SMOKE DETECTOR, PULL STATION
1. GENERATE A LOCAL AUDIBLE AND VISUAL ALARM SIGNAL AT THE FIRE
ALARM CONTROL PANEL AND ANNUNCIATOR.
2. INDICATE THE LOCATION OF THE DETECTOR BY DISPLAYING IT, IN ENGLISH
ON THE FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL AND ANNUNCIATOR.
3. ACTIVATE AN AUDIBLE AND VISUAL GENERAL ALARM SIGNAL THROUGHOUT THE
PROTECTED PREMISE.
4. TRANSMIT AN ALARM SIGNAL TO THE LISTED CENTRAL STATION.
B. DUCT DETECTOR
1. GENERATE A LOCAL AUDIBLE AND VISUAL SUPERVISORY SIGNAL AT THE FIRE
ALARM CONTROL PANEL AND ANNUNCIATOR.
2. INDICATE THE LOCATION OF THE DETECTOR BY DISPLAYING IT, IN ENGLISH
ON THE FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL AND ANNUNCIATOR.
3. SHUT DOWM A/C UNIT.
4. TRANSMIT A SUPERVISORY SIGNAL TO THE LISTED CENTRAL STATION.
C. WATERFLOW SWITCH
1. GENERATE A LOCAL AUDIBLE AND VISUAL ALARM SIGNAL AT THE FIRE
ALARM CONTROL PANEL AND ANNUNCIATOR.
2. INDICATE THE LOCATION OF THE DEVICE BY DISPLAYING IT, IN ENGLISH,
ON THE FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL AND ANNUNCIATOR.
3. ACTIVATE ANAUDIBLEAND VISUAL GENERAL ALARM SIGNAL THROUGHOUT THE
