AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 29-8
OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY, PROVIDING
FOR PENALTY~R VIOLATION OF JUNK CAR ORDINANCE,
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE, REPEALING PROVISIONS,
AUTHORITY TO CODIFY, AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH~ FLORIDA-
SECTIONi: That Section 29-8 of the Codified Ordinances of the CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA be and the same is hereby amended to read:
Section 29-8 Penalty. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction there-
of be fined in an amount not exceeding $500.00 or by imprisonmenl
in the City Jail for a period not exceeding 90 days, or by both such
fine and imprisonment. F~ach day such violation is committed or
permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall
be punishable as such hereunder. Provided, however, if the person
firm or corporation receiving the notice provided hereinabove
executes a written agreement authorizing the removal of such vehicle
or vehicles, the City will remove, or cause to be removed the
vehicle with the cost to be charged to the person reeeiving said --
notice and no warrant for arrest shall be issued.
SECTION 2: Separability. Each of the provisions of this ordinance
are separable, including word, clause, phrase, or sentence, and if any pro-
vision hereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portion shall not be
affected but shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3: Repealing Provisions. All ordinances or parts of ordin-
ances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: Authority to Codify. Authority is hereby granted to
codify and incorporate this ordinance in the City's existing code.
SECTION 5: Effective Date. This ordinance shall becQme effective in
the manner and at the time provided by the charter and Ordinances of the City
of Boynton Beach, Florida.
