3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING
4 COMMISSIONER WOODROW HAY AS A REPRESENTATIVE AND
5 COMMISSIONER ANGELA CRUZ AS ALTERNATE REPRESENTATIVE TO ITS
6 LOCAL AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE (AHAC); AND
7 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

9 WHEREAS, the Florida Statute 420.9072 regulates State Housing Initiative Partnership
10 (SHIP) Program funds; and
11 WHEREAS, The City of Boynton Beach receives an allocation of funds "which were
12 created for the purpose of providing funds to counties and eligible municipalities as an
13 incentive for the creation of a local housing assistance plan, to expand the production of and
14 preserve affordable housing, to further the housing element of the local government
15 Comprehensive Plan specific to affordable housing and to increase housing related
16 employment"; and
17 WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statue 420.9072 which created the advisory committee,
18 effective October 1, 2020 the governing board of municipalities participating in the State
19 Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program shall appoint one locally elected official to its
20 local Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC); and
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
22 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
23 Section 1. The "WHEREAS" clauses above are hereby ratified and confirmed as being
24 true and correct and incorporated herein by reference.
25 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby appoints
26 Commissioner Woodrow L. Hay as representative and Commissioner Angela Cruz as alternate
27 representative to the local Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC).

28 Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
