AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYN~ON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SUB-SECTION "C" OF SECTION
23A-7 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY
PERTAINING TO COLLECTION OF SEWER SERVICE
CHARGES;: PROVIDING AUTHORITY TO CODIFY_.~
SAVINGS CLAUSE, REPEALING PROVISIONS, AN
EFFECTIVE DATE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA.
SECTION_ ~ 1~: Thai sub-section "C" of Section 23A-? of the
Codified Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida pertaining to
collection of sewer service charges be and the same is hereby amended
to read:
Section 23A-7 Collection of service charge.
(c)
If any monthly bill for sewer service charges shall be paid
to the City within ten (10) calendar days of the date of issue-
ance of said bill the paying customer shall be entitled to
a discount thereon in the amount of ten per cent (10%) of
the total amount of said sewer service charge.
If any bills for sewer service charges shall not be paid
before the 30th day following the original date of billing,
a charge equal to ten per cent (10%) of the amount of
such bill shall be added thereto, and if the amount
of such sewer service charges shall not be paid within forty
five (4 5) days from the rendition of such bill, the city
shall discontinue furnishing water to such premises and
shall disconnect the same from the waterwork~ system
and shall proceed forthwith to recover the amount of
such sewer service charges in such lawful manner as it
may deem advisable.
SECTION 2: Autho~r!t.y~..to Codify~ Authority is hereby granted
to codify and incorporate this ordinance in the City's existing code.
SECTION 3: Separabiii.ty Each of the provisions of this
ordinace are separable, including word, clause, phrase, or sentence, and
if any provision hereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portion shall
not be affected but shall remain in full force and effecT.
SECTION 4: Repealing l?.rov~sions: All ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealedl.
