AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, CREATING THE CLASSIFIED POSITION OF
MUNICIPAL LICENSE INSPECTOR, SETTING FORTH
THE DUTIES OF SAID OFFICE; PROVIDING FOR
AUTHORITY TO CODIFY; A SAVINGS CLAUSE; RE-
PEALING PROVISIONS; AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA.
SECTION 1' Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23 of the
Charter of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, there is hereby
created the classified position of Municipal License Inspector, said position
To be filled by appointment by the City Manager, with the approval of the City
Council, pursuant to the proee~Gu~, established by the Civil Service Rules
Regulations of said City.
SECTION 2: Duties and Responsibilities. The ~I~uni¢ipal Licens(
Inspector shall operate under the direct supervision of and be responsible to
the City Manager, and coordinate the execution of his duties herein provided
with the chief of police, tax collector and city clerk and other department hea
of the City. The Municipal License Inspector shall perform the following
basic duties:
(a)
Maintain continuing check of all business activities of the
city with regard to proper occupational licensing; using as
a basis, current license book furnished and periodically
up-dated by Tax Collector;
(b)
Make activity checks as requested.
(e)
Check reports of possible license violations.
(d)
Advise contractors, workmen, and the general public of
municipal regulations covering occupational licensing.
(e)
Prepare and submit activity reports if requested.
Perform such other F~lg~eTdf - work as required or directed
by the City Manager or City Council.
SECTION 3: That authority is hereby granted to codify and
incorporate this ordinance in the City's existing code.
SECTION 4:
Ordinance are separable,
Separability. Each of the provisions of this
including word, clause, phrase, or sentence,
and if any portion hereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portion
shall not be affected but shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 5: Repealing Provisions. All ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6: Effective Date. This ordinance shall become
effective in the manner and at the time provided by the Charter and Ordin-
ances of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA.
