AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA AMENDING SECTIONS 30-3 OF THE CODI-
FIED ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY PROHIBITING THE
PARKING OF HOUSE TRAILERS IN RESIDENTIAL
ZONES; REPEALING SECTION 30-5 OF SAID CODE;
FURTHER PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
THEREOF; A SAVING CLAUSE, AND AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
PREAMBLE
THIS ORDINANCE IS DEEMED TO BE AN EMERGENCY
MEASURE ENACTED FOR THE IMMEDIATE PRESER-
VATION OF THE PUBLIC PEACE, PROPERTY, HEALTH
AND SAFETY OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA AND FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DAILY OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL POLICE DEPART-
MENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1 That Section 30-3 of the Codified Ordinance of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA IS hereby amended to read:
Sect. 30-3 It shall be unlawful to park any motor
trailer or house trailer on any privately owned
property within the city unless the property on
which the trailer shall be situated shall be zoned
for commercial trailer sales or as a trailer park
or camp . It shall be unlawful to place or store
any trailer or other vehicle upon .the roof of any
structure or other high placej%being aeeme~ a
nuisance and hazard to inhabitants of the city and
to adjacent property in times of hurricanes or high
winds.
Section 2. Section 30-5 of the codified ordanances of the city
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA is hereby re~ealed in its entireity.
Section 3. Penalty. Any person, firm or corporation convicted
of violation of this Ordinance shall be punished by fine not exceeding Five
Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment in the city jail for a period
not exceeding 90 days or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day on
which the violation exists or continues shall be deemed a separate offence.
Section 4. Separability. If any part of this ordinance shall be
deemed unlawful by a court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be
deemed a separate and distinct part hereof and such ruling shall not affect
the validity of the remainder hereof.
Section 5. Repealing Provisions. All ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 6. This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency
measure and shall take effect immediately upon passage.
