3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
4 AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 BUDGET FOR THE
5 SURTAX CAPITAL FUND (303); PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
6 DATE.

9 WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2023 -24 Budget was adopted in September 2023; and
10 WHEREAS,a budget amendment is required to increase the spend to the Hester Center
11 site improvement project and process invoices for the remainder of the fiscal year which
12 requires an increase in the amount of$361,104; and
13 WHEREAS, the Surtax Capital Fund (303) will be amended to reflect the increased
14 appropriations from $15,536,700 to $5,897,804; and
15 WHEREAS, accordingly staff is requesting Commission approval to amend the Fiscal
16 Year 2023-24 budget as noted specifically on Exhibit A.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
18 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
19 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
20 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
21 hereof.
22 Section 2. That the City Commission hereby approves amending the Fiscal Year
23 2023-2024 Budget for the Surtax Capital Fund (303) accounts which will adjust budgeted
24 appropriations, as noted on Exhibit "A" which Exhibit is attached hereto and incorporated
25 herein by reference.
26 Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
