AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON~ACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING SECTION 21 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 60-2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID
CITY B~Y PRESCRIBING AND ESTABLISHING SPECIFIC PERMIT
FEES FOR INSTALLATION OF AIR CONDITIONERS AND OTHER
PACKAGED ELECTRICAL UNITS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE: AUTHORITY TO CODIFY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Preamble
This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure enacted
for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property,
health and safety of the inhabitants of the City of Bgynton Beach,
Florida, and to facilitate the operation of the municipal Electrical
Inspection Department of said City.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEA CH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Thai Section 21 of Ordinance No. 60-2 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereby amended and
supplemented by adding thereto, under the heading "EQUIPMENTt, and
additional sub- he ading entitle d:
AIR CONDITIONING UNITS OR OTHER PACKAGED t~LECTRICAL UNITS
WHICH COME COMPLETELY ASSEMBLED AND REQUIRE A SINGLE
CONNECTION TO BE MADE BY THE ELECTRICIAN:

SECTION 2: Repealing Provisions. All ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: Separability. If any section, sub_section, clause, phrase
or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or un-constitutil
by an court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separat
distinct and independent provision and such holding shalI not affect the validi
of the remaining portions hereof. ·
SECTION 4: Aulhorily lo Codify. Specific aulhority is hereby
granied to codify lhis ordinance.
SECTION 5: Effeclive Dale. This ordinance is deerned lo be an
emergency measure and shall become effeclive immedialely
