AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
SUB-SECTION (e) of SUB-PARAGRAPH (1) OF SCHEDULE I
OF SECTION 29-2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, BY DESIGNATING ADDI-
TIONAL AREAS AS SCHOOL ZONES AND LIMITING THE
SPEED OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC THEREIN TO FIFTEEN
(~5) MILES PER HOUR WITHIN CERTAIN TIME PERIODS;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AUTHORITY TO
CODIFY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
PREAMBLE.
This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure enacted
for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health and
safety of the inhabitants of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, with parti-
cular reference to the protection of the school children of said municipality.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. That sub-section (e) of sub-paragraph (1) of Schedule I of
Section 29-2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
is hereby amended and supplemented by adding thereto, afte~'~i'ha% certain
area designated as "POINSETTIA SCHOOL", the following additional areas:
ST. MARK'S SCHOOL:
North Federal Highway from N.E. 6th Avenue to N.'E. 3rd Avenue
ST. JOSEPH'S SCHOOL:
On South Seacrest Boulevard from Mission Hill Road to
S. E. 35th Avenue.
BOYNTON BEACH JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL:
On N. W. 2_-~d Avenue from N. W. 4th Street to Westerly
right-of-way of Seaboard Air Line Railroad.
SECTION 2: Repealing Provisions . Ail ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: Separability: If any section, sub-section, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or un-
constitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be
deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding
shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions hereof
SECTION 4. Authority to Codify. Specific authority is hereby
granted to codify this Ordinances.
SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance is deemed to be
an emergency measure and shall become effective immediately upon passage.
