86-IIA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
ENDORSING A NEW INTERCHANGE ON 1-95
BETWRRN CLINT MOORE ROAD AND THE C-15
CANAL, HAVING ACCESS ONLY TO CONGRESS
AVENUE, AND FURTHER ENDORSING ~HE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A PARK AND RIDE
FACILITY AT THE SAME LOCATION.
WHEREAS, there is a proposal for a Park and Ride Train
Facility with access to 1-95; and
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach recognizes that the
economic vitality of the area between Boca Raton and Boynton Beach
will be enhanced by the Park and Ride Train Facility; and
WHEREA~, the existing interchanges on 1-95 will benefit from
a new interchange for the Park and Ride Train Facility; and
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation currently
proposes a Park and Ride Train Station Facility.
NOW, ~RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City supports the proposed Park and Ride
Train Facility together or independently with a new interchange on
1-95, having access to Congress Avenue and located between Clint Moore
Road and the C-15 Canal.
