A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BO~NTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
PROCLAL~NG JANUARY 31, 1986, AS
"~D GOODE DA~" IN THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH.
kWHERF~, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida recognizes the
individual endeavors of its citizens to promote the betterment of life
for the ccmlnunity; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ed Goode has served as Principal of Boynton
Beach Elementary School for twenty years; and
WHE~, Mr. Ed Goode has devoted his professional life to
the young people of our area; and
W?IEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that this contribution be
formally recognized by the City of Boynton Beach; and
WHE~, Mr. Ed Goode has consistently cooperated with the
City of Boynton Beach, as a helPful good neighbor, by supporting
cooperation between the school and the City in use of facilities and
_~?raining program support, with particular reference to the use of the
land and the use of the gymnasium by the City Fire Department; and
~. WHEREAS, the children of Boynton Beach have greatly benefited
from Mr. Goode's kindness, leadership and love of children.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida hereby expresses its deep gratitude and
appreciation to Mr. Ed Goode for his immeasurable contributions to the
betterment of our youth and so proclaim today, january 31, 1986, as
"ED GOODE DAY"
in the City of Boynton Beach.
IN WITNESS W-PIEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused
the Seal of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, to be affixed this 21st
day of January in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-
