4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
5 APPROVING A BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR BUDGET YEAR 2023-2024
6 FOR THE ADDITION OF $65,000 TO THE SARA SIMS CEMETERY
7 EXPANSION/IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
8 EFFECTIVE DATE;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2023 -2024 Budget was adopted September 27, 2023; and
12 WHEREAS, the Public Works department desires to amended the Fiscal Year 2023-
13 2024 budget to add $65,000 to the Sara Sims Cemetery Expansion/Improvements project.
14 The adopted Revenues and Corresponding expenditures will be moved from $82,000 to
15 $147,000; and
16 WHEREAS, accordingly staff is requesting Commission approval to amend the Fiscal
17 Year 2023-2024 budget as noted specifically on Exhibit A.

19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
20 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
21 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
22 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
23 hereof.
24 SECTION 2. That the City Commission hereby approves the Budget Amendment
25 for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 for the addition of $65,000 for the Sara Sims Cemetery
26 Expansion/Improvements project, as further described in "Exhibit A", attached hereto.
27 SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect as provided by law.
