85-SRESOLUTION NO. ~-~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ASSESSING THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF CERTAIN NUISANCES AGAINST THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY INVOLVED; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, on the 7th day of November, 1984, by Resolution No. 84-AAAA, the City Council duly adopted a Resolution imposing a lien on certain property therein described in the amount of costs incurred by the City to abate a nuisance as to the parcels of land therein described; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 84-AAAA contained an incorrect legal description as to the property owned by Harry and Dora Scheer; and WHEREAS, on the 27th day of February, 1985, the City of Boynton Beach, through its City Clerk, approved a Satisfaction of Special Municipal Assessment which released the lien held by the City as to the property owned by Mr. and Mrs. Scheer as described in Resolution No. 84-AAAA~ and WHEREAS, the City Council hereby desires to rezmpose the lien against the correct property as hereinafter described. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1: That the amount of costs incurred by the City and the abatement of the above-described nuisance as to the parcels of land owned and indicated, to-wit: Harry & Dora Scheer $70.00 I~t 20, Block 25, 3003 Van Ness Street N.W. POILING G-RF2~ RIDGE Apartment 908 S FIPST ADDITION Washington, D.C. 20008 The subject amount is hereby assessed as a lien against said parcel of land as indicated. Said lien shall be of e~ual dignity with the taxes therefrom for the year 1984 and shall be enforced and collected in a manner pursuant to applicable provisions of law. Section 2: That the City Clerk be and she is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this Resolution in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, in and for Palm Beach County, Florida. Section 3: That such lien shall bear interest from six (6) months after the date that it has been filed in the Official Record Books of Palm Beach County, Florida, at the rate of eight 18%) per cent per annum until fully paid. Section 4: That the City Clerk be and she is further directed to notify, by certified mail, the registered owner of the parcel of land named herein above, of the assessment of the lien on their property. Section 5: This Resolution shall take effect immediatel upon passage. PASSED AND ADOPTED this ~,~z~ day of 1985.
