85-IA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING
PERMISSION FROM THE BOARD OF COUNTY
CO~ISSIONERS TO ANNEX INTO THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH CERTAIN PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY
WHICH ARE CURRENTLY IN THE UNINCORPORATED
AREA OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, desires to
annex {nto the corporate limits of said City ~.~ke following

Property located within Section 30,
Township 45 South, Range 43 East,
more parti-cularly described as follows:
The 30 foot right-of-way abutting the
east line of LOTS C,D, and E, TRACT 3,
and LOTS A and B, TRACT 30, and said
30 foot right-of-way abutting the east
line of LOTS C,D, and E in said TRACT
30, all in PALM BEACH FARMS COMPANY
PLAT NO. 8, as recorded in Plat Book 5,
Page 73, of the Public Records of Palm
Beach County, Florida; and
The 106 foot right-of-way for State Road
804 (Boynton Beach Boulevard) abutting
the north line of the following existing
lots: LOT C, TRACT 3; LOT C, TRACT 4;
LOT C, TRACT 5; LOT C, TRACT 6; LOT C,
TRACT 7; AND LOT C, TRACT 8, all in said
PALM BEACH FARMS COMPANY PLAT NO. 8; and
The 30 foot right-of-way for Knuth Road
abutting the west line of TRACTS 8,25,40,
57,72,89, 104, and 121, all in said
PALM BEACH FARMS COMPANY PLAT NO. 8;
and '
WHEREAS, said property constitutes rights-of-way which
are contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Boynton
Beach, and will constitute a reasonable compact addition to the
City territory in compliance with Section 171.0413, Florida
Statutes; and
WHEREAS~ the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach
believes that the annexation of said property will promote the
general health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the
City of Boynton Beach and of the unincorporated areas by providin
more effective traffic control and police protection; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach
hereby requests that the Board of County Commissioners of Palm
Beach County consent to and grant permission for the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida, to annex said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the City Council hereby requests
permission from the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach
County, Florida, to annex the above described property.
Section 2: That a certified copy of this Resolution
shall be sent to the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach
County, Florida; the County Administrator; and the County Director
of Planning, Zoning and Building.
Section 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
