84-DDRESOLUTION NO. 84- D~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS TO BE AUTHORIZED AND EMPOWERED TO SIGN AND ISSUE CHECKS, ET CETERA AS OUTLINED HEREIN, FOR THE MUNICIPAL POLICE RETIREMENT FUND OF THE CITY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 185 OF THE FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING A REPEAL CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, CARL ZIMMERMAN is duly elected and acting Mayor of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, and is thereby, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 185 of the Florida Statutes, CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE MUNICIPAL POLICE RETIREMENT FUND of the City of Boynton Beach; and WHEREAS, WILLIAM R. HAMILTON pursuant to the provi- sions of Chapter 185 of the Florida Statutes, is the duly elected and acting SECRETARY OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE MUNICIPAL POLICE RETIREMENT FUND of the City of Boynton Beach; and WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable to officially designate the above described officials to their respective positions and to empower them 'to execute the duties and powers set forth in said legislation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That CARL ZIMMERMAN and WILLIAM R. HAMILTON, as Chairman and Secretary respectively of the Board of Trustees of the Municipal Police Retirement Fund of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to sign and issue checks, drafts, withdrawal vouchers or other instruments necessary to nego- tiate funds constituting a part of the Municipal Police Retirement Fund of said City, now on deposit in the Flagship First National Bank of Boynton Beach,.First Federal Savings and Loan of the Palm Beaches, or any other authorized depos- itory hereafter designated for the handling of such funds, and the above members of said Board are further authorized to perform any and all other business and execute any and all instruments relative to said Fund, in accordance with their duties as more particularly established in Chapter 185 of the Florida Statutes. Section 2. Ail previous Resolutions of the City pertaining to authority to sign and execute checks, vouchers, or other instruments on the afore-described Trust Fund are hereby rescinded. Section 3.
