A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO INCLUDE IN
THE ELECTION PROCLAMATION FOR THE GENERAL
ELECTION OF ~RCH, 1984, A STP~W BALLOT
QUESTION RELATING TO ANNEXATION; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council Of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, is desirous of obtaining public reaction relating to
annexation and the expansion of Boynton Beach to the west.
· NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to set forth in the election proclamation for the
general election of March, 1984, the following straw ballot
question to be submitted to the voters of the City of Boynton
Beach~ Florida:
Are you in favor of prohibiting annexation of
areas west of the City with the exceotion of
annexation that will generally even off in
a north/south direction the City boundaries?
Yes No
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon passage.
