83-KKKKA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING
THE DECISION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO LOCATE
A SENIOR ACTIVITIES CENTER AT CALOOSA PARK;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Palm Beach
County, Florida, has tentatively decided to locate a Senior
Activities Center at Caloosa Park in the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida; and
WHEREAS, the use of Caloosa Park for such a purpose
would be'an economical and efficient use of a current park
system thereby creating recreational facilities and opportunities
for citizens of all ages; and
WHEREAS, the placement of a Senior Activities Center
at Caloosa Park would be of great benefit to the Citizens of
the City of Boynton Beach, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1: The City Council of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, hereby supports the decision of the Board of
Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, to locate a
Senior Activities Center at Caloosa Park in the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida.
Section 2: A copy of this Resolution shall be
submitted to the Palm Beach County Commission and the County
Administrator.
Section 3: This Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon passage.
