83-JJJJA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA., EXPRESSING THE COUNCIL'S DESIRE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EARLY DESIGN DISCUSSIONS FOR NORTH SEACREST BOULEVARD; NOTIFYING THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA OF ITS CONCERNS CONCERNING THE DESIGN OF NORTH SEACREST BOULEVARD; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, has approved a $150,000 design study concerning North Seacrest Boulevard in its 1983/1984 budget; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Organization Board has recommended that Seacrest Boulevard improvements be included in the "year 2000 Needs Plan;" and WHEREAS, it has been determined that due to traffic demand now and in the near future that Seacrest Boulevard be four-laned; and WHEREAS, the subject section of North Seacrest Boule- vard to be improved is located in a primarily residential community; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, has determined that it is imperative that the improvements to North Seacrest Boulevard be made in such a fashion as to have a beneficial impact on the surrounding neighborhood. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1: The City Council hereby requests that the Board of Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida, and the County Engineering Staff include the City Council and City Staff in the early design discussions for North Seacrest Boulevard so that the City can have input into the specifics of the design and the resulting impact on the surrounding neighborhood. Section 2: A copy of this Resolution shall be submitted to the Palm Beach County Commission, County Admini- strator, and County Engineer to provide notice of the City Council's request concerning the same.
