A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, PLORIDA, TO ADD
NORTH SEACREST BOULEVARD TO THE MPO YEAR
2000 NEEDS PLAN (WPB URBAN STUDY AREA)
WHEREASr the Metropolitan Planning Organization
Year 2000 Needs Plan identifies roads that are in need of
reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, North Seacrest Boulevard is a part of the
inter-city road network in Palm Beach County and has been
designated as a County thoroughfare; and
WHEREAS, North Seacrest Boulevard is in serious
need of widening and reconstructions is a major north/south
link in the County highway system~ continues to become more
important as a part of the access system for the Motorola
Plant~ and is the front door to the North Boynton Beach
residential community.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Metropolitan Planning
Organization is requested to add North Seacrest Boulevard to
its 2000 Year Needs Plan so that the funding of the widening
and reconstruction for this road can be included in the Palm
Beach County financing plans for road capital improvements.
Section 2~ That a copy of this resolution be for-
warded to the Metropolitan Planning Organization and the
Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners.
