83-QQ RESOLUTION NO. 83-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
REQUESTING AND URGING THAT THE PALM
BEACH COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD APPROVE THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW HIGH SCHOOL
LOCATED IN THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, there exists within the corporate limits
of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, the need for a high
school for the use of its citizens and residents of nearby
communities; and
WHEREAS, there presently is no high school facility
located within the corporate limits of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, is in favor of the Palm Beach County School
Board locating a high school facility within the corporate
limits of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
1. On behalf of the residents and citizens of the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida, the City Council hereby
recommends and urges that the Palm Beach County School Board
approve the construction of a high school within the corporate
limits of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida.
2. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
