SECTION 1. ADOPTION OF BUILDIN~.CODE.
There is hereby adopted by the City of Boyhton Beach for
the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the construc-

tion, a teratzon, removal demolition, equipment, use and occupancy,
location and maintenance of buildings andstractures, including
permits and penalties, that cemtain building code known as Southern
S ~ ~
tandard Buildin~ Code, being particularly the 1954 revision addi-
tion thereof, and the whole thereof, save and except such alterations
or amendments herein set forth, and the same are hereby adopted and
incorporated as fully as if set out aK length herein, and from the
date on which this ordinance shall take effect, the provisions
thereof ~hall be controlling in the construction of all buildings and
other structures therein contained within the corporate limits of
the City of Boynton Beach.
SECTION 2 FIRE LIMITS EStABLiSHED.
?he following described territory situated in the munici-
pality which is, or shall be from time to time, zoned for business

or comm~rcial purposes and the zoning does not apply to any
zoning herein located that is not within the category of
commercial or business, and the same is hereby designated as the
inner fire limits as follows:
Begin on the east end of the south bank of the Boynton
Canal and run westerly one (1) block west of Seaboard Railroad
right of way; thence run southwardly along the said boundary line
being one (1) block west of the Seaboard Railroad right of way to
Woolbriqht Road; thence run easterly along the right of way of
said %~oolbright Road to the west boundary of the Florida Inland
Navigation District Canal; thence run northerly along said west
boundary of canal to the point of beginning.
(b) SECOND F!R I I.rS DESI T D.
The second fire limit shall include all territories
surrounding or bordering on the inner fire limit which shall run
from the said inne~ fire limit to the outer limits of the said
municipality.
SECTION ~. SAVING CLAUSE
Nothing in this ordinance or in the code hereby adopted
shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding now pending in
any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, nor any
cause or causes of action accrued or existing, under any act or
ordinance repealed hereby. Nor shall any right or remedy of any
character be lose, impaired or affected by this ordinance.

SECTION 4. YALIDITY
The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance or of the code hereby adopted shall not invalidate other
sections or provisions thereof.
SECTION 5. INCONSISTENT ORDIN~qCES REPEAI~D.
Ordinances or parts thereof in force at the time that this
ordinance shall take effect and inconsistent herewith, are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 6. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of ±his ordinance, shall, upon conviction
thereof, be punished by fine not less than Five Dollars
nor more ±ban Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) Dollars or imprisoned
in the City Jail ~or a time not exceeding ninety (90) days
or both such fine and imprisonment.
